The Heritage Society

The Heritage Society was created to recognize and thank alumni, family, and friends who have made a bequest or planned gift to Capital University. By becoming a Heritage Society member, you join the company of many who have helped to provide for generations of students and scholars to come. Most importantly, you will be making an invaluable contribution to securing the future for Capital University.

Membership Qualifications

Capital welcomes you to the Heritage Society if you have:

  •  Included Capital in your estate plan through a will or living trust.

  • Created a charitable remainder trust, administered by either Capital or another trustee, which names Capital as the remainder beneficiary.

  • Entered into a charitable gift annuity agreement with Capital.

  • Named Capital as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement plan.

  • Established a donor-advised fund to benefit Capital University.

Membership Benefits

As a member of the Heritage Society, you will receive invitations to events sponsored by the Heritage Society only for its members and to University events both on campus and around the country. Periodically, the University, its Schools and programs, publicly recognize Society members who have expressly given us permission to list their names on our honor roll. However, we will always honor a wish to remain anonymous.
